Augustana is a small ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ campus located in Camrose, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, just one hour southeast of Edmonton. Our arts and sciences campus is home to over 900 students from across Canada and around the world. Augustana offers high-quality degree programs in an intimate and personalized setting, with an average class size of 22 people.
Our small campus and classroom sizes ensure easier connections with staff, classmates and professors. This means finding support, community and degree-enhancing opportunities is that much easier.
Undergraduate Degrees
Bachelor of Arts
Creativity and Culture
Study art, creative writing, drama, English, languages and music of the past and present. Flexibility is built into the program structure so you can tailor your education to your own creative interests.
Ethics and Global Studies
Study history, philosophy, religious studies and politics with the goal of developing ethical approaches to living together in our complex world. This program will have you study complex problems for various work environments.
Law, Crime and Justice Studies
Explore the current and historical relationship between law, politics and society, and between civil society and the state. This program centres on gender, class and ethnicity, and how these factors relate to law, crime and society.
Physical Education
Study the relationship between health, physical activity and recreation. This program is an outstanding foundational degree for careers in health sciences or education, incorporating perspectives that help encourage healthy living for all.
Psychology and Mental Health
Examine human behaviour using the scientific method to answer questions about how we cope with stress, recover from brain injuries, develop language and social skills, understand others through our emotions and more.
Sustainability Studies
Explore the interconnected, and often complex, nature of sustainability while participating in experiential learning opportunities in the field, abroad or with local organizations like the Battle River Watershed Alliance or the Food Artisans of Camrose County.
Bachelor of Education
Elementary Education
Study to become an elementary (primary) teacher, educating students from kindergarten to Grade 6. In this program, you'll typically do your work experience placements in a rural or small-town school.
Bachelor of Management
Management and Business Economics
With a foundation in business management, finance, accounting and marketing, this program teaches how to anticipate, adapt and influence — skills that all successful business leaders must possess.
Bachelor of Music
Performance-Based Pedagogy
Study and perform in voice, keyboard, conducting or general (comprehensive) music streams. The performance-based pedagogy program prepares you to explore various career pathways in performance, music education, music therapy, arts administration, musicology and more.
Bachelor of Science
Chemical and Physical Sciences
Study matter, energy and their transformations and seek answers to fundamental questions like: What are matter and energy? How can matter and energy be transformed? How do scientists study and measure matter and energy in complex systems?
Computing Science and Mathematics
Prepare for the integral and rapidly growing fields in programming, artificial intelligence, mathematics and computational intelligence. This program combines two areas of study for ultimate impact within the tech realm.
Environmental Science
Examine the science behind nature and our human impact. Environmental science examines interactions among natural processes in our environment, with a goal of understanding and addressing environmental challenges facing our world today.
Integrative Biology
Study this natural science that focuses on the study of life. This program incorporates perspectives on the structure, function, life history, evolution, distribution, identification and naming of organisms.

Get two degrees in five years! Study to become an arts and humanities teacher, educating students in a junior high or high school. In this program, you'll typically do your work experience placements in a rural or small-town school.

Get two degrees in five years! Study to become a science teacher, educating students in a junior high or high school. In this program, you'll typically do your work experience placements in a rural or small-town school.

Master of Science
Occupational Therapy
Prepare for a career in occupational therapy. Occupational therapists (OTs) help people get back to meaningful everyday activities. They work with people of all ages who have experienced an illness affecting physical or mental health, an injury or a disability.
Physical Therapy
Prepare for a career in physical therapy. This program is designed to provide students with the clinical and evaluative skills necessary for the practice of physical therapy.
Speech-Language Pathology
Prepare for a career in speech-language pathology. Develop competencies in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and management of articulation, language, fluency, voice and resonance disorders as well as in the fundamental practices of audiology.

Embedded Certificates
Leave your studies with an additional qualification on your degree parchment. The courses required for certificates count towards your program requirements, and there is no cost to enrol in a certificate.

Experiential Learning
Take your learning out of the classroom. Experience various parts of the globe, get hands-on experience in the outdoors, partner with local organizations or conduct research with a faculty member (or on your own).
