Orenda Kihcâyis-Stonechild is from Mîmîw Sâkahikan (Pigeon Lake, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥). She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a graduate certificate in Indigenous Public Health as well as a certificate from the Indigenous Health Administration Leadership Program and from the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ with a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology.
Her career includes work in or with indigenous business management, incarcerated persons, unhoused people, vulnerable families, persons in recovery, youth in high-risk environments, affordable and community housing, people affected by Indian Residential School, Indian Day Scholar, Indian Day School, and the Sixties Scoop, and policy analyses.
Orenda volunteers with the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s Office of Alumni Relations as an Indigenous Alumni Advisory Circle Member. She is also a Professional Human Ecologist (PHEc) registered with the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Human Ecology and Home Economics Association.
