Awarded to a club that has the largest presence on campus, engages with a large demographic of students and actively pursues collaborative programming efforts with the ASA, faculty, Camrose community and other groups on campus.

ASA Student Recognition Award

Awarded to students who have demonstrated initiative and/or been involved in the Augustana community as a whole.

Vikings Volunteer Coach of the Year

Awarded to an assistant coach who demonstrates excellence in their coaching ability, knowledge of the sport, ability to motivate the athletes they coach and high levels of sportsmanship.

Vikings Coach of the Year

Awarded to a head coach who demonstrates excellence in their coaching ability, knowledge of the sport, ability to motivate the athletes they coach and high levels of sportsmanship.

Betty Ostenrud Award

Awarded to both a member of the faculty and of the staff who have tirelessly given themselves to the benefit of students and the institution as a whole.

Vikings Volunteer of the Year

Awarded to the on or off campus person or group who provides the greatest service to the Vikings athletics program over the course of the year.

Roger Epp Award

Awarded to students that have both contributed to the development of the campus community as well as stepped off-campus to become involved in community initiatives and programs.

Heather Huber Memorial Award

Awarded to a third or fourth-year student who has contributed greatly to the Augustana Students' Association by way of leadership in clubs, committees, councils, fine arts or athletics.

Moncrieff Ford Memorial Award

Awarded to a student based on academic standing and demonstrated contributions to campus athletics through service to others as a teacher, coach, trainer or mentor.

Recipient: Lara Birkill (Men’s Hockey Student Trainer)


Team GPA Award

Awarded to the Vikings team with the highest combined GPA average from the Fall semester.

Horseshoe Hero Award

Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and innovation in enhancing the student experience through campus recreation.

Rookie of the Year Award

Awarded to the most outstanding male and female student-athletes who utilize their first year of eligibility as a member of a Vikings Varsity team and exhibit tremendous athletic accomplishment in the current year, while also displaying leadership, great character and academic excellence.

Dean's Award for Leadership in Vikings Athletics

Awarded to a student-athlete who is considered a great athlete, but more importantly an outstanding leader and role model in the athletic, campus and Camrose communities.
