Dentistry Programs
Undergraduate
Start your journey to becoming a dentist.
The 1st and 2nd years of our dentistry program are comprised of an integrated curriculum, studying anatomical, physiologic, and health systems. The first two years of the program also include the study of Oral Biology, Dental Anatomy, Oral Pathology, and an introduction to the pre-clinical practice of dentistry.
The 3rd and 4th years of the dentistry program are comprised of lectures, laboratories, seminars, and clinical practice. In addition to clinical practice at the Mike Petryk School of Dentistry Oral Health Clinic, students participate in clinics at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Hospital, and in a satellite dental clinic rotation in Northern ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
An accredited 4-year program leading to a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Applicants are required to have at least two pre-professional years of university education prior to admission to this program.
DDS Advanced Placement
A Qualifying/Degree Completion program for graduates of non-accredited dental programs, e.g., programs not recognized by the Commission of Dental Accreditation for Canada (CDAC). Successful applicants are integrated into the second year of the regular DDS program.

The Mike Petryk School of Dentistry offers clinical speciality programs in Orthodontics and Periodontology. Additionally, the School offers research-oriented Masters (MSc) and Doctoral (PhD) degrees in Dentistry.
