Striving for Pandemic Preparedness — The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Research Consortium
Enabling rapid responses to emerging pathogens
The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ has made substantial investments in support of research and training in infectious diseases. These resources were instrumental in the development of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥’s scientific response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in spite of progress, it is evident that dangerous viruses will not disappear. The Government of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ awarded the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ a $55.1m grant to develop a research and training program that helps to address this problem. With this grant, scientists at the U of A founded SPP-ARC; Striving for Pandemic Preparedness - The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Research Consortium.MISSION
