Public Hours

Solar Observing - Thursdays September 11 to December 4

12 pm to 1 pm
Visitors may drop in anytime during this hour. No tickets required. Admission is free.

Evening Hours

September: Thursdays, 8 pm to 9 pm
October: Thursdays, 8 pm to 9 pm
November: Thursdays, 7 pm to 8 pm
December: Thursdays, 7 pm to 8 pm

Please dress for outdoor weather. The observatory will be closed if the temperature falls to -20 C or lower.

 

Location

The Department of Physics Astronomical Observatory is located in CCIS 5-240 on the West end of the 5th floor of the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science on the main campus of the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. Click here for directions.

 

Field Trips and Group Visits

School groups and other education-oriented groups can book a private visit. These visits are free of charge. Please contact us at least one month before your anticipated visit date since there is high demand for these visits and we have limited availability. Click here for more information.
