Program Fees
Greece Field School Fees (Program Fees): $1,600 (Excluding a $250 application fee). This covers:
- Shared accommodation
- All meals except Sundays
- Local transport, including excursions
- Student membership of the Canadian Institute in Greece
- Free entrance pass for all archaeological museums and sites in Greece
Canadian Students:
Tuition fees (estimate) (6 credits) and based on 2024 rates: $1,866.64*
*This includes costs like academic support, health and wellness etc. For Canadian citizens and permanent residents in a regular UofA program check here.
*Canadian students and permanent residents not registered at the UofA need to register as an open studies student. Check here for a cost assessment.
TOTAL: $3,466.64
International Students:
Tuition fees (estimate) (6 credits) and based on rates for students admitted in Fall 2023: $8,465.53**
** This includes costs like academic support, health and wellness etc. International students in a regular UofA program admitted in 2020 or earlier check here.
** International students not registered in a UofA program need to register as an open studies student. Check here for a cost assessment.
TOTAL: $10,065.53
This estimate excludes travel costs Edmonton-Greece and the train trip from Athens-Paleapharsala v.v.
Grants
The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Go Abroad program provides students with grants. For a three week program these normally amount to $750. The deadline is: February 1, 2024. Once you have been admitted to the field school you can apply here.
Applying
This class is closed to web registration. You need to apply via ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ International, and you will only be accepted after an interview. Once accepted, you will be registered in the course. You will be billed automatically by the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ for your registration fees.
