Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician

What did you study and where?

I grew up in Calgary. I started my undergraduate physiology program at UBC. I obtained my Bachelor of Medical Sciences as well as Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. I subsequently completed my Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.

What is your clinical specialty?

Sports medicine, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, interventional therapies

What teams do you work with now/in the past and in what capacity?

I am one of the team physicians for FC Edmonton. I served as an on-site medical officer for the 2020 Scotties and Briers Curling Championships.

What days/hours do you work at the GSSMC?

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

What is your favourite way to stay active?

Outdoor activities, hiking, boating, basketball, table tennis, swimming, cycling, gym

What is a ‘fun fact’ about you that may surprise others?

We enjoy going on adventures with our horse and our dog.
