Our organization hosts a number of events ever year to bring community together but most importantly, to highlight the impact of our programming. We also work together with community members to help sustain the amazing programs and services we provide to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Fyrefly's Annual Mayor's Pride Brunch

Fyrefly's Annual Mayor's Pride Brunch raises funds for our lifesaving 2SLGBTQ+ Programs and also brings together community members, organizations, and leaders to celebrate the impact of our programming.
Pay What You Can: Drag Show Fundraiser
June 20 | 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. | Matrix Hotel 10640 100 Ave NW
An exciting event filled with extravagant drag, Magician Jay Flair, and the wonderful power of community! In addition to the brunch, the event also supports Fyrefly's lifesaving 2SLGBTQ+ programs. The event is all-ages but minors below the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Pride Week
Mid-March of each year
Pride Week celebrates the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥'s 2SLGBTQ+ community. The events and celebrations are planned and created by the Fyrefly Institute team alongside students, staff, faculty members, groups, units, organizations, and individuals across U of A campuses. Everyone is welcome!
The Pride Week planning committee begins mid-October. Previous experience is not needed.
