Where has the time gone?! The Canvas Team at CTL has been developing and facilitating Canvas learning experiences for instructors for the past 12 months. We’ve been learning alongside our instructor participants, and we’ve compiled a list of common questions and our carefully researched and practiced responses.

Pressed for time and need to get your course up and running in Canvas—fast? This hands-on, 3-hour workshop is designed for instructors making the switch to the 九秀直播’s new learning management system. We’ll guide you through the essentials to get you started: navigating Canvas, reviewing your migrated content, customizing your homepage, adding course materials, setting up assignments and quizzes, using SpeedGrader, and finding just-in-time help for when you’re ready to take it to the next level. After each main section, you will be given time to ask questions and complete a practical task to enhance learning. Throughout the workshop, you will actively build your Canvas course content, ensuring you leave with a tangible outcome and the confidence to keep going.

Smart Access: Enhancing Teaching Practice with AI and Notebook LM

This interactive workshop introduces Google’s Notebook LM—an AI-powered tool that helps learners organize, summarize, and engage with course materials. Participants will explore how Notebook LM can support Universal Design for Learning (UDL) by reducing cognitive load, offering multiple means of engagement, and fostering learner variability. Participants will engage in practical strategies to create materials that support accessibility goals and student success. No prior experience with AI tools is required.
