Research Day 2024
The Dr William H. Lakey Transplantation Lectureship was created through the generosity of the Lakey family. Dr Bill Lakey performed the first kidney transplant at the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Hospital in 1967 and would go on to perform nearly 800 more. Dr Lakey was a true transplantation pioneer who bettered the lives of countless Canadians through his passion and dedication.
