The Gladys Woodrow Wirtanen Studentships was established by a generous contribution from Mr Ernest Wirtanen through the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Diabetes Foundation to support students and trainees at the masters, graduate level and fellows.

Matthias Braun Memorial Studentship Award funds research excellence in islet biology to commemorate the late Dr Matthias Braun from the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Diabetes Institute.
The Muttart Diabetes Research and Training Centre yearly funding gives way to opportunities to train graduate students interested in diabetes research. Selection is based on the applicant's academic standing, research potential and career goals.
