Ardelle Ries
Dr. Ardelle Ries - Professor of Music, Augustana Faculty

Professor of Music at the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ (UofA) Augustana Faculty, Ardelle Ries is grateful to have been raised on the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ prairies surrounded by music and poetry. With an abiding belief that musical experiences and opportunity should be available for all at any age or stage of life, she is a staunch advocate for song-based musical inclusion and multigenerational music education. She has been on faculty at the Zoltán Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy, the International Kodály Seminar, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of Calgary. Ardelle is the recipient of numerous awards for her dedication to music education in the province of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, recognized by Choir ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Kodály Association, the UofA Augustana Faculty, the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Council of Disability Services, the Association for Life-Wide Living of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, and the Camrose Association for Community Living. Ardelle resides in Camrose, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ with her husband, Roger Admiral.
