Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) Project - Launch October 5 - 6
2 September 2025
In preparation for the launch of Oracle Recruitment Cloud (ORC) on October 5 / 6 below are some important reminders for you to be aware of in your recruitment planning.
What ORC will not impact
-
- Current open postings active on the Career Portal which have a close date prior to Sept 30.
- Closed postings in progress, unless there is a requirement to repost. In this case the team will work directly with you on recommended posting timelines.
- New posting requests received up until Sept 12 which have a close date no later than Sept 30 will be posted on the existing Career Portal. However there may be delays for recruitment support services requested during the period of Sept 22 - Oct 13 due to ORC transition activities.
- All postings with “Open until Filled” status where foreign national hiring is not identified or required, will be closed and transitioned to ORC. Please inform Shared Services if you do not wish to continue posting in ORC.
- Foreign National Hires
- Academic Postings Closing by Sept 30 that have been active for a minimum of 30 days will not be impacted by system transition. Advertising documentation for LMIA applications is not impacted and can be requested at a future date through Shared Services.
- Non-Academic Postings that require “Open until Filled” status will be supported through our Immigration Consultants. These postings will be active for a brief period in both systems to mitigate impacts to immigration processes.
ORC does not impact the following activities
- Student hiring (e.g. graduate student appointments)
- Casual appointment bulk hiring
- Initiating appointment requests through APS and eForms
- Routine HR actions such as Pay Action Forms, Position Information Forms etc or other activities submitted via eForm or through the Staff Service Centre.
What ORC may impact?
- Responses and processing times for job posting and advertising requests may see some slight delays in comparison to our usual response time.
- Implementing an official cutover period or blackout posting period to ensure ORC is ready for go-live (the Career Portal will remain live during this time but no new postings will be added)
How can Hiring Managers help?
- Prioritize critical or time-sensitive hiring requests. Delay others to be posted after go-live.
- Review all postings with “Open to Filled” status by Sept 21, and advise if they can be closed
