New College Logo and Visual Identity

St. Stephen’s is excited to unveil a new logo and visual identity system. The new branding comes after a lengthy process that included review of the College’s visual identity history, consideration of the College’s Vision, Mission, and Values, and engagement with college personnel.
The new logo is a reinterpretation of the dove in flight, now with wings stylized in ways that evokes a double-S, a winding path, and even flames of fire (all of which are elements from past SSC logos).
The overall styling of the logo articulates the collegiate aspects of St. Stephen’s identity while also embodying rich elements of the College’s history, mission, and vision.
In many ways, this new logo represents an evolution of where the College is moving, and deep continuity of where the College has previously been, all rooted in our shared vision, mission, and values.
The new visual identity system was devised by Edmonton-based graphic designer Nicole Winski, who has previously done graphic design work with various post-secondary institutions in the Edmonton area.
Over the coming months, we will begin the process of rolling out the new logo on the College website, social media platforms, marketing materials, and . Some elements of the College’s visual identity will be updated immediately, while others may take several months until the full switch-over is achieved.
Watch for our new logo on digital and print media over the coming months!
