Partnership with Tecnológico de Monterrey

, also known as Tec de Monterrey (Tec), is an important university partner for the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.. Tec is a multi-campus, private university system in Mexico, with 31 campuses across 25 different cities and approximately 92,000 students. It was ranked the fourth-best university in Latin America according to the ’s 2020 rankings. 

The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Tec de Monterrey share a number of activities and agreements related to mobility, research, education, and general collaboration. 

  • There is a longstanding, active student exchange agreement between Tec de Monterrey and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ School of Business. Learn more at U¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Education Abroad.
  • U¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Tec have co-developed a three-year Seed Grant Program for Joint Research Projects focused on fomenting research links in the areas of artificial intelligence, energy, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Both U¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Tec de Monterrey are members of the . Tec is one of only two Latin American universities, and the only university in Mexico, that are members.
  • Former ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ President, Dr. David Turpin, visited Tec de Monterrey in December 2019, where he was a keynote speaker at the International Congress on Education Innovation (CIIE).
  • Tec de Monterrey, along with the University of Texas at Austin and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, have jointly organized the North American Energy Dialogue webinar series. This series aims to highlight and analyze key global energy issues through the trilateral perspective of North America, inviting experts from Mexico, the United States, and Canada to participate and share their expertise.
  • Dr. Luis Serra, Chief Executive of the Tec Energy Initiative, was a speaker at the WUN Summer School 2019 on Energy Transitions, hosted by the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.
