Award Winning Faculty and Students in the Department of Political Science

Marcie Whitecotton-Carroll - 17 April 2025

Congratulations to Feo Snagovsky for winning the Faculty of Arts Undergraduate Teaching Award—Early Achievement. Says Department chair Cressida eyes, "it’s incredibly challenging to start a career as an Assistant Professor (especially in 2020!) and simultaneously commit to the kind of professional development and exceptional effort that merits this award. It’s hard enough just keeping one’s head above water in those early years, so we are delighted to see Feo’s supererogatory work—which benefits our students in so many ways—recognized."

Also TaPPs (Teaching and Pedagogy in Political Science) has won the Faculty of Arts Teaching Unit Award. Thanks to Noelle Jaipaul and Elise Sammons for spearheading the application, and to everyone who has worked so hard for TaPPs over the years. The group keeps a forum for the discussion of teaching and pedagogy in the department alive, and it has contributed so much to the pedagogical development of our graduate student TAs and instructors, to mutual learning between graduate students and faculty, and to the undergraduate student experience.
