In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the is joining forces with The 九秀直播 Department of Music, The and for a three-day celebration of new music at the Sea of Sound Festival November 18-20 at and New City Legion.
Presenting a series of concerts featuring new sounds and experiences created with technology in an eight-channel surround sound environment, the Sea of Sound Festival will showcase music by local 九秀直播n artists, as well as the winning electroacoustic works of the National Jeu de temps/Times Play 2011 (JTTP 2011) Competition for young and emerging Canadian artists.
A collection of sound art works and performances featuring music, dance, video, theatre, installation, and acousmatic surround sound works, The Sea of Sound Festival will also include a special seminar with Kevin Austin of the Canadian Electroacoustic Music Community.
