Congratulations to Dr. Natalia Khanenko-Friesen on her reappointment as Director of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (CIUS)!

A leading scholar in oral history and a cultural anthropologist specializing in Ukraine and Ukrainian communities worldwide, Dr. Khanenko-Friesen will continue to lead CIUS — an institute that has undergone significant transformation over the past five years — with vision and integrity at this pivotal moment for Ukrainian studies.

We look forward to another five years of bold, community-engaged, and globally oriented scholarship under her leadership.

Dr. Khanenko-Friesen, the Huculak Chair in Ukrainian Culture and Ethnography at the ����ֱ��, is also a Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies in the Faculty of Arts.
